Data Integrity and Load
The weblicon PIM secures itself against attacks by robots or hackers by limiting user data entry and controlling malicious data entry. Using the admin console, the administrator can specify limitations for various data entry fields such as the maximum number of phone numbers which can be entered per contact, the maximum number of appointments a user can enter or the maximum field length for text entries. By limiting user input, the system can be secured against attacks trying to overload the system by entering extreme amounts of data.
The weblicon PIM stores all textual data entered in an escaped form and embeds text ignoring JavaScript or HTML tags. This protects the weblicon PIM against attacks using code, which could break the HTTP server or HTML clients.
