Password Encryption

The weblicon PIM can store user passwords and the administrator password encrypted into the LDAP database. The administrator can configure the weblicon PIM to store passwords encrypted using the SHA algorithm, UNIX crypt or as clear text. Weblicon has chosen to use the SHA algorithm in order to be compatible with 3rd party applications accessing the same LDAP database such as the Netscape Messaging Server.
