SyncML and A1 Organizer
Mobilkom Austria and Weblicon announced the world's first wireless SyncML server in a mobile operator environment on the Sun ONE platform. The Weblicon SyncML server provides over-the-air synchronization of Mobilkom Austria's A1 ORGANIZER with mobile phones from Nokia, SonyEricsson, or Siemens. A1 ORGANIZER provides communications and personal information management (PIM) services based on the Sun ONE Messaging Server and Sun ONE Calendar Server. With the new SyncML solution, users can synchronize the address book and calendar of their A1 ORGANIZER with the built-in address book and calendar of a mobile phone. Users can also synchronize their A1 ORGANIZER with Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express desktop organizer and Palm or Pocket PC PDAs.
