Carsten Brinkschulte, co-founder of Weblicon Technologies AG. As CTO from 2000 to late 2001, he defined the corporate strategy of the company focusing on development and licensing of Personal Information Management (PIM) and synchronization technology. As a true visonary, he realized the trend for the wireless synchronization long before others did and built the Weblicon SyncML server, today one of company's flagship products.

As CEO from end 2001 until late 2003, Mr. Brinkschulte was responsible for the corporate turn-around in 2002 and successfully secured additional venture capital in two financing rounds to accelerate growth when others scaled back. He expanded the product portfolio with Calmeno and SyncML products, created a strategic alliance with Sun Microsystems, and signed up three major clients in the mobile operator and web hoster industry.
In October 2003, Mr. Brinkschulte resigned from his position as CEO, and continues to be a major shareholder and strategic advisor to the supervisory board of the company.
"I take pride to say that during the last three years as founder and CEO of Weblicon, we have built an excellent team, created outstanding technology and achieved significant success in the marketplace. The company has set the bar high with the industry-leading Weblicon SyncML synchronization server and the Calmeno organizer scaling from SMEs to the advanced requirements of mobile operators. The world's first live SyncML Server at Mobilkom Austria and the strategic alliance with Sun Microsystems are a strong basis for success. Recent wins of a large webhoster and two additional mobile operators prove that the company is on-track and heading in the right direction. I hope that the new management will continue the successful strategy and I am confident that the company will succeed."
