KPN Mobile Holding licenses weblicon organizer
Weblicon Technologies AG wins Top-5-European Carrier as customer
Berlin, 18th June 2001 Weblicon Technologies AG, technology supplier of highly scalable Personal Information Management (PIM) software, has won another leading European mobile phone operator, Dutch KPN Mobile, as their client. The Holding signed a license agreement including its European affiliates E-Plus and KPN Orange, covering more than 13 millions mobile phone subscribers. Weblicon provides a personal address book and an online diary, which are accessible via the Web and WAP. The Weblicon solution also features the sending of E-mails and SMS messages via distribution lists.
The Weblicon Online Organizer offers smart administration of appointments, tasks and addresses as well as E-mail and SMS and will be developed into a complete Personal Information Assistant (PIA) step by step. It is characterized by an easy operation and simple integration into existing networks, increasing customer ties and online time of Internet users. Thus, it is equally attractive both for portals as well as for telecommunication companies.
The Weblicon Organizer provides personal diary and address data. Using any Web-browser the user can call up his appointments from every PC, irrespective of the operating system. Access is possible with any WAP enabled mobile phone.
