Weblicon and Sun Synchronize SunONE with Mobile Phones at 3GSM
Cannes, France, February 17 - Weblicon today announced immediate availability of the Weblicon SyncML Server for the SunONE Calendar and SunONE Directory Server enabling seamless synchronization of the SunONE environment with leading desktop PIM software, PDAs and wireless synchronization with mobile phones.
Using the Weblicon SyncML Server, SunONE users can synchronize their address book, calendar and tasks with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Palm and PocketPC PDAs. Thanks to full support of the industry-standard "SyncML", the Weblicon SyncML server enables wireless synchronization with SyncML-enabled mobile phones such as the SonyEricsson T68i, P800, Nokia 9210, 7650 and Siemens S55 mobile phones.

The Weblicon SyncML Server is a 100% pure Java server-side application which can be installed on the SunONE Application Server or any J2EE-compliant Aplication Server. It is seamlessly integrated with the SunONE Calendar and SunONE Directory Server using industrystandard WCAP and LDAP protocols. The Weblicon SyncML Server has been officially SyncML-certified by the OMA standardization organization guaranteeing a high level of compatibility with 3rd party SyncML clients. For synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, Palm and PocketPC PDAs, Weblicon provides SyncML client software which can be downloaded and installed on the user's device. The entire solution is highly scalable, supports load-balancing and can be deployed in large-scale and mission-critical operating environments.
Weblicon and Sun Microsystems will demonstrate the Weblicon SyncML Server for SunONE live at the 3GSM World Congress 2003 17.-21. February in Cannes, France, Hall 1 - Booth # C6. Weblicon will announce the world's first live installation of a SyncML sever with a leading European mobile operator before end of February.
